歌い手でございます（=＾∇＾=） 日本では'99から FAKiE というグループでライブやCDリリースなど、活動しておりました♪ 2007-08、文化庁新進芸術家海外留学制度研修員としてニューヨーク留学。 現在も珍道中を繰り広げています。 2007年、グループ名を FAKiEから K&Neo と改めました。 どうぞ、宜しく♪ 【K&Neo】 The vocal-and-guitar duo K&Neo consists of Kay and Neo, a unique combination of a virtuoso vocalist (Kay) and border-less classical guitarist (Neo). Founded in 1999 as FAKiE, K&Neo have attracted a growing audience with their covers of classic songs from the 70's & 80's mixed with original compositions that blend technical excellence with raw emotion and wide ranging musical diversity. The duo was originally named FAKiE after a SKATEBOARDING technique that switches between nose and tail, reflecting how their music may switch from soothing acoustic sounds to pulsating electric jazz/rock. They used to be the members of pop rock band named Delta which had released 4 single CDs and an album for the one of the most famous major recording company Mercury Records (Universal Music Entertainment Group) Delta's compositions were featured by every major Japanese television network and radio stations. Now they changed their name to K&Neo. The format of classical style nylon string guitar and seductive female vocal presents a soft and mellow jazzy sound, surprisingly infused with rock, funk and Japanese traditional sounds. 2000 saw the release of their debut mini album "FAKiE", followed by a series of live performances nationwide. Their first full album "Timeless" was released in 2004. Critically acclaimed for its technical excellence the album is enjoyed by jazz enthusiasts and music lovers everywhere. In 2006 they recorded their follow up album "To The Limit". Recorded ‘live’ in the studio using Sharp's revolutionary 1-Bit Audio Technology, K&Neo play all tracks with no punching-in and no over dubbing. The album excels in its clear, wide ranging sound and showcases the duo’s talents at their best. *-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-* Kay (Vocalist/Songwriter) Born in Japan, Kay began her professional career as a background vocalist after graduating high school. She developed her vocal skills by sharing many live performances and recording sessions with many great artists such as Yuming (Yumi Matsutoya) the most famous legendary female singer/songwriter in Japan. Now in K&Neo (a.k.a. FAKiE) her vocals interlace with solo nylon-string guitar. Kay is blessed with her impressive three-and-half octave range that has very straight and clear tone. Her vocal style is generally soft and mellow but sometimes exudes great power. She also writes songs for herself and for other. Kay has a product endorsement deal with the sound reinforcement products company "Electro-Voice" which is leading brand for professional microphones and other musical equipment with more than 80 years of heritage. Kay won an award from the Japanese Government which is "The Japanese Government Overseas Study Programme for artist 2007-2008". She moved to NY by herself to discover new opportunities and to prove her talent, and to experience the different cultures and share her talent with other musicians.
